‘Smallville’s’ Justin Hartley Joins the ‘Revenge’ Family

The Graysons have a new family member on the ABC drama

There's a new addition to the Grayson family on ABC's "Revenge."

Justin Hartley has just signed on for a multiple-episode arc as Victoria's (Madeleine Stowe) long lost son, an ABC representative told TheWrap.

"Revenge" ended Season 2 with a cliffhanger last season that found Victoria shaken by the sight of a shadowy figure at the door. Fans will finally see that the suprise visitor is Hartley's Patrick.

Hartley most recently starred on CW's shortlived medical drama, "Emily Owens, M.D." But, he's best remembered as the network's original Green Arrow on "Smallville."

The 36-year-old has also guest starred on "Hart of Dixie," "Castle" and "Chuck." He got his big start on the soap, "Passions," where he played Nicholas Foxworth Crane.

He also stars in the late Michael Clarke Duncan's final film, "The Challenger," which doesn't have a release date yet.

Hartley joins "Revenge" as it undergoes some changes at the top. Earlier this month, the series tapped Sunil Nayar, an executive producer and writer for the series, as its new showrunner. He succeeded previous showrunner Mike Kelley, who stepped down in April in what was characterized as a "difficult mutual decision" between Kelley and ABC Studios.

The production later promoted consulting producers Gretchen Berg and Aaron Harberts to executive producers.

The changes follow a second season that lost the buzz of the drama's freshman year and a dip in ratings.

E!Online first reported Hartley's casting.
