Oscar nominee Gabourey Sidibe is getting ready to tackle a new challenge: "Saturday Night Live."
The "Precious" star has been tapped to host the April 24 edition of NBC’s late-night staple. Her musical guest: MGMT.
NBC also confirmed Thursday that ex- "SNL" cast member Tina Fey will return for her second stint as host on April 10 — just in time to promote her new feature, "Date Night." She’ll be joined by musical prodigy Justin "I Control the World" Bieber.
Then on April 17, Ryan Phillippe will make his "SNL" hosting debut. That seems an odd choice — no offense, but the actor hasn’t had much to hype lately — until you realize that Phillippe is in the May 21 feature version of "SNL" sketch "Macgruber."
Phillippe will appear alongside another "SNL" virgin, the pop singer Ke$ha.
