“White Famous” won’t be getting a second season on Showtime. The network has canceled the comedy starring “Saturday Night Live” alum Jay Pharoah just over two weeks after the season one finale aired, TheWrap has learned.
Based on the life of Jamie Foxx, the show starred Pharoah as an up-and-coming comedian trying to break into the mainstream. It debuted October 15, with the final episode airing Dec. 10. “White Famous” was co-created by Tom Kapinos, Chris Spencer and Buddy Lewis, and executive produced by Jamie Foxx, Jamie King, Tom Kapinos, and Tim Story.
Showtime declined a request from TheWrap for comment.
