Showtime Taps Amy Israel as Senior VP, Original Programming

Former film producer comes to small screen after producing Justin TImberlake move “In Time”

Film producer Amy Israel is moving to the small screen, as Showtime Networks' new senior vice president, original programming, the company said Friday.

In her new position, Israel will be responsible for developing and overseeing Showtime's new original series. She will report to Gary Levine, Showtime's executive vice president of original programming.

Most recently, Israel executive-produced the upcoming Justin Timberlake-Amanda Seyfried film "In Time." She previously served as executive vice president of production at New Regency, where she acquired and developed such upcoming projects as "RFK," "Mother Trucker" and "Mr. Romance."

“As more and more film actors, writers, directors and producers want to work at Showtime, it makes perfect sense to hire a creative exec from the feature world," Showtime's Levine said of Israel's hiring. "Amy’s taste, talent, charisma and experience make her a perfect complement to our existing senior creative staff.”
