Showtime will present an early glimpse of its upcoming baseball reality series "The Franchise: A Season with the San Francisco Giants," on April 13, the network announced today. The series will officially premiere on July 13.
The one-hour series, which will track the team through the 2011 season following their World Series win, is in production at the Giants' spring-training camp in Scottsdale, Ariz., and other locations. "The Franchise" (featuring pitcher Tim Lincecum, left) is a collaboration between Showtime and MLB Productions.
Showtime announced the series at the Television Critics Association winter press tour in January.
