TheWrap ShortList Film Festival closes its submissions for the 5th Annual Film Festival tomorrow, Friday, July 1, 2016.
Programmers will choose 12 finalists from among submissions that have won awards at accredited film festivals in the past year.
This year’s festival will stream online from August 9-23, 2016 on ShortListFilmFestival.com. Winners will be announced at a ceremony in Los Angeles, with filmmakers and jury in attendance. As much as $15,000 in prize money and other will be awarded to winners in three categories: Audience, Jury Selection and a Creators League Prize sponsored by Pepsi.
Last year’s double winner of the Audience and Jury prizes, “Bear Story,” went on to win the Oscar for Best Animated Short at the Academy Awards this year.
