Sherri Shepherd has landed her first post-“View” gig and it’s a plum one.
Shepherd will join Ice Cube and Kevin Hart in the sequel to Universal’s hit comedy “Ride Along,” an individual familiar with the project told TheWrap.

Shepherd will co-host ABC’s daytime talk show “The View” for the last time on Aug. 8, and will next be seen in Chris Rock‘s “Top Five,” premiering in the Special Presentations section at the Toronto International Film Festival in September.
Hart and Ice Cube are reprising their roles, and “Ride Along” director Tim Story is also returning, along with original screenwriters Matt Manfredi and Phil Hay.
Shepherd is represented by ICM Partners and Darris Hatch Management.
