Seth Meyers is coming out from behind his “Late Night” desk for his first-ever Netflix standup comedy special. The event, titled “Seth Meyers: Lobby Baby,” will launch on the streaming service Nov. 5.
Here’s the official description for Meyers’ comedy special:
Late Night host, Seth Meyers, steps out from behind his desk and onto the stage at the Pantages Theater in Minneapolis to explain to his fans that you can love a lobby baby as much as a hospital baby…in time. In his Netflix comedy-special debut, Seth Meyers: Lobby Baby, Meyers touches upon family, fatherhood, and why you should never take your girlfriend to Paris for her birthday.
You can watch a teaser for “Lobby Baby” above, which features Seth and his fake action figure, “Standup Seth.” Yeah, the kids aren’t too impressed by that toy, dude.
As we’re sure you’re aware, Meyers is no stranger to cracking jokes in front of a live audience, having been a cast member on “Saturday Night Live” from 2001 to 2014. Meyers was promoted to head writer in 2005, a position he held alongside others throughout the rest of his tenure, and was an anchor on “Weekend Update” from 2006 until he left to do “Late Night.”
“Seth Meyers: Lobby Baby” will launch globally on Nov. 5, 2019.
