Former “Saturday Night Live” head writer Seth Meyers will return to his old haunt at Studio 8H this weekend to host the Oct. 13 episode, and nobody ever said that homecomings were easy.
In the first promo for the late-night host’s episode, Meyers gets introspective about the long journey back — to the studio next door. “No matter how hard the road, how long the journey, I’m going to make it back to Studio 8H,” he muses in a somber voiceover.
Meyers, who served as a writer on “SNL” for more than a decade and anchored “Weekend Update” for nine years, will return to the show for the first time as host on Saturday. He currently hosts NBC’s “Late Night With Seth Meyers”
Paul Simon is the musical guest.
