“Back to the Future” fans should be pleasantly surprised by “A Million Ways to Die in the West,” because beloved time traveler Doc Brown makes a cameo.
A new TV spot (above) for Seth MacFarlane‘s new comedy revealed the gag, and MacFarlane released a photo on Twitter posing next to actor Christopher Lloyd in costume.

Fans of the Robert Zemeckis trilogy don’t need any reminders, but in case others are confused about Lloyd’s appearance, his character traveled back to the old West in “Back to the Future Part III” and ended up staying there with his new love (Mary Steenburgen), while Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) traveled back to the present.
Will this clever cameo be enough to draw legions of “Back to the Future” fans to theaters on May 30 to watch Charlize Theron teach the creator of “Family Guy” how to shoot a gun in order to fight Liam Neeson?
And who’s excited for the next baseball comedy to recruit Lloyd to play an angel in the outfield?
