"Austin Powers" actor Green, who provides the voice of dull-witted son Chris Griffin on MacFarlane's animated series "Family Guy" — and has also provided voices for MacFarlane's other animated series "American Dad" — has signed on as the lead for "Dads," the upcoming Fox series from MacFarlane and his "Ted" partners Alec Sulkin and Wellesley Wild.

The  multi-camera series, which has received a six-episode order from Fox, will center on two successful guys in their 30s who have their world turned upside-down when their dads move in with them.

Green will play Eli, a man who has yet to grow up but who has built a successful videogame company with Warner (played by Tommy Dewey of "The Mindy Project").

Peter Riegert and Martin Mull have been cast as the fathers. The cast also includes "The Suite Life of Zack and Cody" star Brenda Song.

MacFarlane, Sulkin and Wild will executive produce, with Sulkin and Wild writing.

20th Century Fox Television and MacFarlane's Fuzzy Door Productions are producing.

"Robot Chicken" co-creator Green also stars in the upcoming feature films "Sexy Evil Genius" with Katee Sackhoff, Michelle Trachtenberg and Harold Perrineau; and "The Identical," with Ray Liotta, Ashley Judd and Joe Pantoliano.
