Chris Pratt’s Peter Quill in “Guardians of the Galaxy” has a wisecrackin’ mouth on him, but a new clip from the upcoming Marvel movie reveals he’s got action skills to back it up.
The first clip (above) from the James Gunn superhero movie, about a group of intergalactic outlaws on the run after stealing a coveted orb, shows Quill transforming into the self-proclaimed “legendary” Star-Lord with the flick of a wrist and escaping a sticky situation audiences saw him get into during the first trailer.

The new preview was released during an “MTV Movie Awards Takeover” special on the network on Monday night.
“Guardians” hits theaters on Aug 1. Bradley Cooper, Zoe Saldana, Lee Pace, Karen Gillan, Benicio Del Toro and Vin Diesel co-star.
Conan O’Brien is hosting the 2014 MTV Movie Awards live from Los Angeles on Sunday.
