“Blade Runner” actress Sean Young is a “wanted individual” after officers say she was caught on camera stealing laptops and software from a store in New York City, a spokesperson for the New York Police Department told TheWrap on Friday.
The robbery happened just after midnight on Thursday, according to the NYPD. Surveillance footage shows Young and a man breaking in and grabbing the laptops and software, worth about $12,000 in total, according to the Associated Press, who first to reported the story.
A representative for Young declined to comment when contacted by TheWrap.
The NYPD has listed “Mary Young” as the woman they’re looking to bring in for questioning, matching the actress’ birth name of Mary Sean Young.
Young is best known for her roles in the ’80s movies “Blade Runner” and “Wall Street.” Her iconic character of Racheal from the original 1982 “Blade Runner” made a brief appearance in Denis Villeneuve’s “Blade Runner 2049” last year thanks to the work of cutting-edge visual effects.
The 58-year-old actress has run into issues with the law in the past; she was arrested in 2012 for slapping a security guard at an Oscars after-party.
