Sean Astin will star in Indomina’s “Cabin Fever: Patient Zero,” a reboot of Eli Roth’s 2002 horror film.
Brando Eaton and Ben Hollingsworth have also joined the cast of the film, which begins with a bachelor party cruise running aground on an island contaminated by a flesh-eating bacteria.
“With Sean, we wanted an actor with gravity who is also popular with the fanboy fan-base,” producer Evan Astrowsky said in a statement. “Coupling Sean with fresh faces like Ben and Brando gives ‘Cabin Fever’ the pedigree of cast we’ve always desired.”
Astrowsky, who produced the original film, is producing through his Hypotenuse Pictures along with Indomina, the U.S. and Dominican Republic-based media company.
