Ryan Seacrest is weighing in on Paula Abdul’s apparent departure from "American Idol," saying he "can’t imagine" the show without here.
Seacrest spoke out about Abdul’s exit — where else? — on Twitter, posting a couple of messages around 10:30 p.m. Los Angeles time.
"About to go to sleep when I started seeing my blackberry blow up. I have read what (you) have read, and I am shocked and saddened about Paula," Seacrest said.
"’Idol’ and the cast have grown with each other over the last eight seasons. I can’t imagine the panel without (Abdul). She’s a star (and) a great friend."
Seacrest then noted he had spoken with judge Randy Jackson and that he hoped "to speak with Paula privately overnight."
