Screen Gems Promotes Danielle Misher to EVP of Marketing

She’ll report to Dwight Caines, president of domestic theatrical marketing for Sony Pictures Entertainment

Danielle Misher has been promoted to executive VP of Marketing for Screen Gems, it was announced Friday by Josh Greenstein, president of worldwide marketing and distribution for Sony Pictures Entertainment.

Misher will report to Dwight Caines, president of domestic theatrical marketing for SPE.

In her new role, Misher will oversee the creation of trailers, posters, television ads, and other marketing materials as well as the publicity campaigns that support Screen Gems’ theatrical releases. Misher previously served as Screen Gems’ senior VP of marketing, leading publicity campaigns for the “Think Like a Man,” “Underworld” and “Resident Evil” franchises, as well as “The Wedding Ringer,” “Heaven is for Real” and “Easy A.”

“Danielle has excelled at Screen Gems, creating campaigns that are both innovative and incredibly effective. Those first-rate instincts for understanding what resonates with audiences will be a great asset in her expanded role,” said Greenstein.

Misher joined Screen Gems in 2002 as VP of publicity, later being promoted to senior VP and then expanding her role to include marketing. She previously worked at MGM as a senior publicist and began her entertainment industry career in the film publicity department at Rogers & Cowan.
