In an effort to make more money, comedian Sarah Silverman is trading in her vagina for a penis in order to avoid the inferior pay rate women face compared to men.
“Every year, the average woman loses around $11,000 to the wage gap,” Silverman says in a new video. “Over the course of the working years of her life, that’s almost five hundred grand. That’s a $500,000 vagina tax!”
Silverman’s solution: become a dude.

“In the grand scheme of things, it’s way less expensive than the money I’ll lose having a pussy,” Silverman said.
The video ad actually aims to crowdfund the wage gap, soliciting donations that will go to the National Women’s Law Center, who will fight for equal pay. “They’re very good at what they do, you know, for a bunch of girls,” Silverman said of the organization.

The campaign crosses over into NSFW territory when Silverman chooses her new male genitals from a vast selection on a cart. She opts for the uncircumcised one, regardless of it being a display model.
“I guess I was kind of hoping for that new penis smell,” she says.

This risqué PSA comes from Droga5, the same ad agency responsible for Silverman’s award-winning “The Great Schlep” video, encouraging older voters to cast their ballots for Barack Obama in 2012.
