Sarah Palin on ‘The View’? ‘Rumor and Speculation,’ Says ABC

Talk of Palin or anyone else joining the panel is premature, network says

For now, the idea of Sarah Palin co-hosting “The View” is just a dream.

“Any specific names at this point are rumor and speculation,” an ABC representative told TheWrap. “No decision has been made and we are not to ready to make any announcements.”

Palin’s recent comments about how the show might benefit from a panelist like herself have fueled speculation that she is, in the words of the Huffington Post, “publicly auditioning” for the job.

Whoopi Goldberg is the only “View” panelist slated to be back when the show’s new season begins Sept. 15.

Palin has extensive TV experience. The former Fox News contributor’s show, “Amazing America With Sarah Palin,” airs on the Sportsman Channel, and she previously starred in the TLC reality show “Sarah Palin’s Alaska.”
