Samuel L. Jackson Tries to Make Reporter Drop an N-Bomb (Video)

"Django Unchained" star Samuel L. Jackson creates one of the most awkward moments in journalism as he tries to coax a racial slur out of his interviewer

As "Pulp Fiction" amply demonstrated, Samuel L. Jackson might not be a huge fan of the word "what," but the N-word is apparently a different story.

The "Django Unchained" actor sat down for an interview with Jake Hamilton recently, and as usual Jackson provided the most memorable moment from the exchange, when he tried to compel Hamilton to drop an N-bomb, with hilarious results.

After Hamilton noted that the slavery drama has generated a fair amount of controversy with its use of "the N-word," Jackson teased, "No? Nobody? None? The word would be …?"

He then challenged an increasingly flustered Hamilton to utter the slur in its full form.

"Have you ever said it? Try it. Try it!"

As Hamilton continued to demur, the famously outspoken Jackson even threatened to cut the interview short unless his interviewer hurled the insult, which is widely regarded as one of the ugliest words in the English language.

"We're not going to have this conversation unless you say it."
