Nick Fury is not pleased. Samuel L. Jackson noticed a striking difference between adjacent posters for his upcoming Marvel film, “Spider-Man: Far From Home.”
“Uhhhhhhh, What in the ACTUAL F—IS GOING ON HERE,” Jackson wrote on Instagram with a photo of the two photos.
Take a look at the post on Jackson’s Instagram account here. See if you can “eyeball” the difference.
See it? Nick Fury’s eye patches are swapped in the two posters. The correct poster is the dark blue one on the right, in which Fury’s eye patch is appropriately on his left eye. Jackson captioned the photo with the hashtags #headsgonroll and #lefteyemuthaf—–.
A representative for Sony did not immediately respond to comment as to whether the poster with the incorrect image is real or to comment on the mistake.
Although, the trailers for “Spider-Man: Far From Home” have suggested that after the events of “Avengers: Endgame,” Jake Gyllenhaal’s character, Mysterio, could come from an alternate universe. Maybe there’s an alternate universe or timeline where Fury damaged his right eye instead of his left? In “Captain Marvel,” we learned that Fury lost his eye as a result of a scratch from a cat…er, flerken.
But we also learned in “Captain Marvel” about the existence of shape-shifting creatures called Skrulls. Perhaps a Skrull has infiltrated that poster and it’s up to us to detect the real one!
Or it’s just a Photoshop error.
“Spider-Man: Far From Home” opens in theaters July 2.
