Samantha Bee’s ‘Full Frontal’ Just Scored Its Biggest Audience Since March

Though you wouldn’t know it from counting her commercials

TBS’ “Full Frontal With Samantha Bee” just landed its largest audience since March. And no, we’re not talking about last Wednesday’s episode, when host Sam Bee apologized on-air for calling Ivanka Trump a “feckless c–t” the previous week — we mean last night’s show.

Bee hauled in 988,000 overall viewers on Wednesday, with a 0.33 rating coming from the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic. Total tally-wise, it was her most-watched episode since March 28. In the main demo, it tied for her highest rating since March 14.

Those Nielsen numbers were up 3.9 percent in total and 6.5 percent in the demo, week over week. And last Wednesday, Bee had already rose about 8 percent and 14.8 percent, respectively.

But why would the episode after her apology episode have grown again from the more anticipated one? Momentum? Don’t be silly. You see, Bee’s apology taped and aired on June 6. Something else was on TV that night: Game 3 of the 2018 NBA Finals. That’s a big eyeballs-eater, and everything off of ABC paid the price.

So things are looking up for Bee, who could sure use a win (and sponsors). Lest you think we’re ignoring “Full Frontal’s” overall downward ratings trend, well, click here.

Let’s just say it is not an election (or inauguration) year anymore.
