Samantha Bee is fed up with all the sausage in late night.
In the first promo for the former “Daily Show” correspondent’s as-yet unnamed satirical news series on TBS, Bee appears at an art gallery where the walls are adorned with portraits of other late-night hosts, all of whom happen to be men.
“You know, when I take a look at each piece individually I like it,” Bee says. “But when I take a step back I feel like something’s missing.”
A waiter then approaches Bee with a tray of sausages, each one representing a different host. Jimmy Fallon is “mild,” while Carson Daly is “extra mild.”
“And I hear really good things about that English banger,” the waiter says in reference to Bee’s former “Daily Show” colleague John Oliver. Bee replies, “I think I’m actually done with sausages.”
In addition to her new late-night show, Bee and her husband Jason Jones have another upcoming TBS project, a family comedy starring Jones that will debut toward the end of this year. The 10-episode order also stars Natalie Zea (“Justified”), Ashley Gerasimovich (“Louie”) and Liam Carroll (“The Neighbors”).
