SAG/AFTRA Joint Board Approves New TV Contract

Board recommends ratification of new deal, which was carved out with the AMPTP a month ago

The joint national board of the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of TV and Radio Artists approved the tentative television and motion picture contract agreed to last month with producers.

The board also recommended ratification of the new deal to the respective organization membership bodies.

JOINT NATIONAL BOARD OF AFTRA AND SCREEN ACTORS GUILD APPROVES 
TENTATIVE TELEVISION AND MOTION PICTURE CONTRACTS AND RECOMMENDS RATIFICATION

Los Angeles (December 4, 2010) – The Joint National Board of Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists today overwhelmingly approved the tentative agreement reached with the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers on November 7 – a deal which it is now recommending to the respective union memberships.
