SAG Hires Deborah Skelly as Exec Director, Industry Relations

The former Fusio Film Group executive will report to SAG deputy national executive director for contracts Ray Rodriguez and will oversee a staff of five out of the guild’s Los Angeles headquarters

Screen Actors Guild has hired Deborah Skelly as executive director, industry relations and organizing.

Skelly will report to SAG deputy national executive director for contracts Ray Rodriguez and will oversee a staff of five from her office at the guild's national headquarters in Los Angeles.

Before joining the union, Skelly managed intellectual property issues, drafted legal documents and provided legal counsel at Fusion Film Group, where she was VP business and legal affairs.

She is former CEO of shoppingtheworld.com and is a former feature film agent at the William Morris Agency. She also was a production and development executive at the comedy management firm Rollins Joffee, Morra Brezner, which represented Wody Allen, David Letterman, Jim Carey, Robin Williams and others.

The Smith College and Pepperdine law school graduate is the author of "The Misadventures of Maria O'Mara."
