The “Drive” star makes hilarious cameo at the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Art presentation for Best Actress

Ryan Gosling decided to invite himself to Russel Crowe’s presentation of the Best Actress Award for the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts on Friday.

Crowe was trying to present the nominees via satellite when Gosling appeared at his right, congratulating Crowe for winning an award. When Crowe tried to explain that was not the case, Gosling consoled him by telling him it’s an honor just to be nominated.

The two are currently shooting “The Nice Guys” in Los Angeles, a film that follows a private eye as he investigates the mysterious death of  fading porn star in LA circa 1970. Shane Black is directing and co-wrote the script with Anthony Bagarozzi. Matt Bomer and Kim Basinger also star. It is due to be released June 17, 2016.
