Nothing can kill true love in the new trailer for “Winter’s Tale.” Not illness. Not time. Not even a burly looking Russell Crowe with a menacing Irish brogue and a penchant for pushing people off the Brooklyn Bridge.
The upcoming fantasy drama stars Colin Farrell as a thief who falls in love with the beautiful and – cough, cough – doomed woman (“Downton Abbey”s’ Jessica Brown Findlay) who lives in a house he planned on burgling. It is based on the 1983 novel of the same name by Mark Helprin and directed and written by Akiva Goldsman , who wrote the screenplay to “A Beautiful Mind.”

The movie flits between early 20th century New York City and the modern day Big Apple. There’s lots of mythical elements in the story, which also involves a white horse who becomes Farrell’s guardian angel.
Jennifer Connelly and Will Smith co-star in the project which hits theaters next Valentine’s Day.
