John Goodman dropped by “The Talk” on Friday to promote his new movie “Kong: Skull Island,” and Sara Gilbert was ready for him.
The two former “Roseanne” actors went back to Lanford, Illinois to reprise their roles as Dan and Darlene Conner — the first such reunion in 20 years. The sketch took place on the ugly family couch, of course.
“So, ah, there’s something I’ve been wanting to talk to you about for a while now,” Gilbert began.
“What’s that, kiddo?” Goodman replied, in perfect sitcom character.
“Um, God. I don’t know how to say this,” she replied. “I’m a talk show host.”
She’s also the creator and an executive producer on CBS’ “The Talk.”
“What? As long as you’re happy, me and your mom will support you,” he replied. “You know, for a minute there, I thought you were going to tell me you were gay.”
“Let’s save something for halftime,” Gilbert shuttered the skit. Anyone following the CBS personality’s career and personal life knows that there’s plenty left for the two to talk about.
