Roseanne Barr believes it’s time for Republicans to stop arguing with Democrats and mock them instead.
“We are at the point where anyone identifying as a Democrat at this point should just be pointed at and laughed at,” Barr said in an X post on Thursday. “That’s it. No more arguing. Just point and laugh. I’d like to see this become a trend. We’ve argued and reasoned long enough. Anyone that hasn’t woken up yet will never wake up. They don’t deserve our energy or sympathy any longer. Point. And. Laugh.”
Whether it’s former President Joe Biden or former MSNBC anchor Joy Reid, Barr is no stranger to speaking out against Democrats and more liberal-leaning politicians. Much of her campaign against the Left appears to have started up after ABC canceled her “Roseanne” reboot following her racist tweet about former President Barack Obama and Valerie Jarrett.
Since then, she’s gone completely pro-MAGA and even celebrated President Donald Trump’s victory in the form of a rap song titled “Daddy’s Home” with Canadian rapper Tom MacDonald. In the video, Barr is seen wearing box braids, a hairstyle that is traditionally and culturally worn by Black women.
Though her last show got canned, Barr has set her sights on a new comedy series she created and starred in about an Alabama family who uses “guns, the Bible, petty crime and alcoholism” to save America. In an interview with Variety, which reported in January she is shopping the series, Barr said the show — described as “Roseanne” meets “Arli$$” — is a four to six-episode-long series focused on a farmer who rescues the U.S. from “drug gangs and China.”
“It’s silly and out there,” Barr said. “[It will contain] very offensive ideas and a lot of swearing. I live with my daughter and her husband and their six children on a farm. And they have goats running through their house and stuff. It’s based on my life as a farmer in Hawaii. They save America with guns, the Bible, petty crime and alcoholism. It’s kind of like the Coen brothers thing.”
