Fans of the 1989 action film “Road House” seem torn about the news that UFC fighter Ronda Rousey will star in the Patrick Swayze role in a big-sceen remake.

Although Rousey has a solid resume in acting, such as supporting roles in “The Expendables 3” and “Furious 7” and also played herself in a cameo in the “Entourage” movie, social media reaction was split on Wednesday.

Some love the idea: “I think that I would literally watch paint dry with Ronda Rousey in it,” Clare Cullen tweeted.

Others questioned the casting of Rousey in a role long associated with Swayze. “I suppose the bright side is at least it’s not Caitlyn Jenner,” Todd Zola tweeted.

Others dismissed the idea of rebooting the cult favorite at all. “Remaking Road House is a horrible idea,” Seth Thomas wrote.

The actress herself weighed in on the idea of playing Dalton, a tough bouncer who is hired to clean up one of America’s rowdiest bars and ends up tangling with the town bad guy. “It is a great honor to play a part celebrating the life of a man that inspired so many,” Rousey tweeted on Wednesday. “I promise to work incessantly to make sure this project is a tribute his family and fans can be proud of.”
