Robin Williams Remembered by Sarah Michelle Gellar, John Stamos, Patton Oswalt on Anniversary of His Death

Comedian died a year ago at age 63

Robin Williams died one year ago Tuesday at age 63, and his fans and colleagues have unleashed an outpouring of tributes on social media to mark the grim anniversary.

Williams’ death in his northern California home was deemed a suicide by the coroner, but the tributes focused on the contributions that the “Mork & Mindy” star made to the world with his comedy.

Sarah Michelle Gellar, Williams’ costar in the CBS comedy “The Crazy Ones,” posted a lengthy quote from Ralph Waldo Emerson.

“To laugh often and much; to win the respect of the intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the beauty in others; to leave the world a bit better whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know that one life has breathed easier because you lived here.
