Robin Roberts Returning to ‘GMA’ Feb. 20

Anchor went on medical leave for bone marrow transplant

Robin Roberts will return to "Good Morning America" on Feb. 20, she announced on the show Thursday.

Roberts began medical leave in August to undergo a bone marrow transplant for the blood and bone disease MDS. She will return to work five months to the day after the transplant.

In a blog post, Roberts said her doctor had cleared her to return to work.

"I'm excited to re-join my wonderful 'GMA' family. I'm also looking forward to thanking YOU … for your many prayers and well wishes," wrote Roberts (pictured on her blog, left).
