Rob Lowe Heading Back to ‘Californication’

Rob Lowe will reprise his role as Eddie Nero in an episode of upcoming season of "Californication"

"Californication" will experience another Lowe point with its upcoming seventh season.

Rob Lowe has signed on to reprise his role as eccentric film star Eddie Nero on the Showtime series, which is filming its upcoming season in Los Angeles.

Lowe, who's played Nero on a handful of episodes of the David Duchovny series, will bring Nero back for an episode of the season, Showtime said Tuesday. Nero will re-emerge as a guest star on "Santa Monica Cop," the television series based on the film by lecherous writer Hank Moody (Duchovny).

"The West Wing" alum Lowe also stars as John F. Kennedy in National Geographic Channel's upcoming "Killing Kennedy."

In addition to Lowe, the seventh season of "Californication" will feature "The Sopranos" alum Michael Imperioli and "Hangover" co-star Heather Graham.
