“Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” returns with its second season this Friday, and fans have yet to give up hope they will see the Netflix series crossover with its fellow Archie-verse drama, The CW’s “Riverdale.”
And while the showrunner behind both series, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, previously told TheWrap he’s working out if and when he can make your dreams a reality, we asked “Sabrina” star Chance Perdomo to tell us what that mashup would look like if he was in charge.
“I would definitely love to see Jughead and Ambrose have an intellectual, philosophical debate,” Perdomo, who plays Ambrose on the Kiernan Shipka-led series, says in the interview above. “And then go solve a mystery, for sure. Yeah, that would be awesome.”
Actually, that particular meetup would be pretty ironic, seeing as Perdomo originally auditioned for the role of Jughead before landing his part on “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.”
“I remembered his audition and when we were getting ready to do ‘Sabrina,’ I was like, ‘There’s this kid who read for Jughead and I think he’d be a great Ambrose,’” Aguirre-Sacasa previously told TheWrap.
But don’t worry, there are no hard feelings over who got what part.
“Cole Sprouse adds in like a real film noir aspect to it,” Perdomo says. “So he is Jughead. He is Jughead, right? And Ambrose is pretty much written for me as well, so I’m pretty happy with the way things have gone. (laughs)”
“Riverdale” airs Wednesdays at 8/7c on The CW. The second season of “Chilling Adventures of Sabrina” launches Friday on Netflix.
