Gervais Says He’s Been Invited Back for 3rd Globes: ‘I Don’t Think I Should’

Ricky Gervais says on his website he's been invited back to host a third Golden Globes.

(UPDATE: The HFPA, which puts on the show, tells TheWrap he hasn't been invited back and that it's "highly unlikely" he will be.)

"I don't think I should," he wrote on the site (left). "I don't know what I could do better. I certainly couldn't get more press for them, that's for sure."

Gervais dropped a few jaws with his jokes about Scientology and and the Hollywood Foreign Press Association's reputation for voting for undeserving films in exchange for press junkets and trinkets. The group said he "occasionally went too far," but praised his performance.
