Robert Carradine, who played Lewis in the 1984 film “Revenge of the Nerds,” was seriously injured in a head-on collision with a semi truck in Colorado last week, the Cortez Journal reports.

According to the Journal, Carradine, 60, and his wife Edith both suffered serious but non-life threatening injuries after Carradine drove into an oncoming lane on Colorado Highway 145 east of Dolores, on Mar. 5, colliding with the truck.

Carradine and his wife were each wearing seatbelts, the Colorado State Patrol said, and speed and alcohol did not factor into the collision. The actor was cited for careless driving. Both vehicles were traveling around 60 miles per hour at the time of the crash, according to the police report.

The driver of the truck was not injured.

Both Carradine and his wife were transported to Southwest Memorial Hospital before being transferred to Mercy Regional Medical Center in Durango.
