Talk about being busted.
Moviehole reports that Disney has sent out a casting call looking for beautiful models for its upcoming blockbuster "Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides."
Those with breast implants need not apply.
The breakdown read :
Beautiful Female Fit Models. Must be 5’7-5’8, Size 4 or 6 – NO BIGGER OR SMALLER. Age 18-25. Must have a lean dancer body. MUST have real breasts. Do not submit if you have implants. This is a show and tell of costumes with the director and the producers. Plan on an entire day of trying on clothes and being photographed.
Professional Dancers who are Swimmers. Females ONLY. Age 18-30. All ethnicities. YOU MUST have an extensive dance/swimming resume. We will be shooting in Hawaii.
I’m still not sure what the ‘tell’ part of "a show and tell" entails, but does this mean that the professional dancers/swimmers CAN have breast implants? I’m confused.
Ultimately, Disney has a right to cast whoever it wants. It’s just kind of funny that the family-friendly studio has been caught red-handed with a very specific look in mind for the third sequel’s female characters.
Perhaps they just want to be truer to the pre-"Nip/Tuck" time period?
Disney did not immediately respond to TheWrap’s request for comment. A Disney spokesman refused to comment to the New York Post.
"Pirates" star Keira Knightley has said in the past that makeup artists spent up to 45 minutes painting her cleavage on, adding shade and volume. (I doubt she had to endure that sort of process during the making of "Pride & Prejudice.")
"On Stranger Tides" is due to wash ashore sometime in May 2011. Ian McShane joins the cast as the villainous Blackbeard, while Oscar winner Penelope Cruz replaces Knightley as Johnny Depp’s exotic love interest and Blackbeard’s daughter. Rob Marshall ("Chicago," "Nine") directs.
