Angela Courtin has joined Relativity Media as the company’s first chief marketing officer, it was announced Wednesday.
The former President of Dentsu Aegis Network, Courtin will lead marketing initiatives for film, television, and sports as well as oversee all branding and advertising campaigns across the company.
In this role, she will also oversee Madvine, the company’s branded entertainment and consumer products arm and Relativity Digital.

Courtin will begin her new role in July and report jointly to CEO Ryan Kavanaugh and president Tucker Tooley.
Courtin will also launch a new digital division at the company. The division will scale through a combination of organic growth and acquisitions and will work closely with Madvine to take a fully integrated approach to servicing all of a brand’s marketing needs. The division will partner with Relativity’s business units to develop, produce, and distribute compelling original content.

Before serving as president of Dentsu Aegis Network, U.S., Courtin acted as chief content officer for Aegis Media and president of The Story Lab, Aegis’ global content agency which she founded in 2012.
Prior to her work at Aegis, she was co-head of integrated marketing at MTV; led marketing, entertainment and content at MySpace; and was an associate producer on the hit HBO series “Big Love.”
