Reid Scott on How His ‘Veep’ Character Would Fare on ‘Game of Thrones’: ‘He’s Littlefinger’ (Video)

“He would do great up until a point,” Scott tells TheWrap, predicting a very graphic end for Dan Egan

How would Dan Egan fare in Westeros?

With “Veep” airing its final season alongside the final run of HBO’s other awards darling, “Game of Thrones,” TheWrap asked Reid Scott, who plays Egan on “Veep,” how he thinks Egan would fare in George R.R. Martin’s fantasy world.

His answer? Egan would feel right at home among the back-stabbing and political gamesmanship of the Seven Kingdoms. “Oh, he’s Littlefinger. Like 100%,” Scott told TheWrap. “Or, at least he’s like Littlefinger’s protégé, or something like that, or that’s what he would aspire to be. I think he would do great.”

And yes, Scott knows that Littlefinger — aka Petyr Baelish (Aidan Gillen) — despite being able to scheme his way almost through seven seasons, met his demise in the Season 7 finale. And Scott thinks the same fate would befall Egan on “Game of Thrones” as well, describing Egan’s fate in graphic detail.

“He would do great up until a point, and then, you know, he would get his nuts cut off,” Scott continued. “And he’d end up slicing his own throat and getting torn in half by the dragon. A fitting end.”

“Veep” airs Sunday nights on HBO at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT on HBO, while “Game of Thrones”  airs at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.
