Netflix hates mess: The streaming service has begun production on an eight-episode lifestyle series produced by Reese Witherspoon and featuring Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin, the pair behind the innovative home organization company The Home Edit.
According to the streaming service, “known for their design-centric approach to arranging and organizing, New York Times bestselling authors Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin will take on the homes of big-name celebrities and everyday families.”
The currently untitled series “follows master organizers Clea Shearer and Joanna Teplin as they dramatically transform the lives of their clients by conquering clutter with their signature style,” Netflix’s description said. “Each hour-long episode features two organizational projects shaped by Clea & Joanna’s unique sense of form-meets-function that will entertain and inspire.”
The project is executive produced by Molly Sims, Hello Sunshine’s Witherspoon, Charlotte Koh, and Cynthia Stockhammer and Critical Content’s Tom Forman, Jenny Daly, and Jon Beyer, along with Tess Gamboa Meyers, who will serve as showrunner on the series.
The Home Edit team’s series order follows Netflix’s January launch of the eight-episode first season of “Tidying Up With Marie Kondo,” an unscripted series featuring Marie Kondo “sparking joy” in people’s lives by helping them learn to let go and declutter.
