Bask in Reese Witherspoon’s Mutual Love Fest With Olympic Medalists Adam Rippon and Mirai Nagasu

When the Olympics roll around, every American is a fan of Team USA, but not everyone can say their favorite Olympians are as obsessed with them. But of course, not everyone is Reese Witherspoon.

Olympic figure skaters (and this year’s Team USA darlings) Adam Rippon and Mirai Nagasu have both expressed their adoration for Witherspoon while competing at the Winter Games in Pyeongchang, and she has declared her love for them as well.

“There are so many emotions when I step on the ice. I want to represent my country to the best of my abilities,” Rippon told NBC after his Sunday night free skate. “I want to make Reese Witherspoon proud.”

Last week, Witherspoon said Rippon was her No. 1 reason to watch the Olympics and that sparked his idea for a movie that involved him dying when reading that tweet.

On Sunday night, the actress tweeted at Nagasu after she became the first American woman to land a triple axel at the Olympics. That’s when the figure skating queen said she wished Witherspoon was her mom. Yeah, this thing has gotten intense. But in an adorable way.
