The trailer for Rebel Wilson’s upcoming rom-com “Isn’t It Romantic” goes full meta, sending up every romantic-comedy cliché you can imagine — but still featuring a shirtless Liam Hemsworth in a towel.
Wilson stars as New York City architect Natalie, who works hard to get noticed at her job but is more likely to be asked to deliver coffee and bagels than to design the city’s next skyscraper.
A lifelong cynic when it comes to love, she has an encounter with a mugger that renders her unconscious, waking to discover that her life has suddenly become her worst nightmare — a PG-13 romantic comedy where she is the leading lady with a fabulous wardrobe, luxe apartment, a new gay best friend and a profanity-free vocabulary.
Hemsworth stars as her client turned unlikely love interest, joined by Adam Devine and Priyanka Chopra.
Todd Strauss-Schulson directs from a screenplay by Erin Cardillo and Dana Fox & Katie Silberman.
Todd Garner (“Paul Blart: Mall Cop,” “Tag”), Gina Matthews and Grant Scharbo (“13 Going on 30,” “What Women Want”) are producing, with Marty Ewing (“IT,” “The Accountant”) and Rebel Wilson executive producing.
Warner Bros. is set to release the film this Valentine’s Day, of course.
