The latest addition to the Ryan Murphy's upcoming NBC comedy "The New Normal" is "Real Housewives of Atlanta" star NeNe Leakes.
Leakes will play an assistant to one of two gay men who hire a surrogate mother to carry a baby for them. The reality personality/actress has worked with Murphy before — she also has a recurring role on "Glee" as Coach Roz.

The single-camera series also features Andrew Rannells ("Girls"), Justin Bartha ("The Hangover") and Ellen Barkin. In clips shown at NBC's upfront presentation to advertisers Monday, Barkin's character objected to Leakes' character's eggs being used in the pregnancy, and a feisty argument ensued.
"The New Normal," from 20th Century Fox TV and Ryan Murphy Productions, is executive produced by Murphy, co-creator Allison Adler, and Dante Di Loreto
