NBC's "The Voice" was the top-rated show Tuesday night as NBC and Fox shared an overall ratings win and CBS won decisively in total viewership, according to preliminary numbers.
In the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic, NBC averaged a 2.5 rating/7 share. It came in third in total viewers, averaging 6.7 million. The network enjoyed boosts across the board for its primetime slate. "The Biggest Loser" at 8 climbed 10 percent in the demo for a 2.2/7, with 6.7 million total viewers. "The Voice" the following hour also posted a gain, rising 9 percent for a 3.5/9 in the demo, with 8.9 million total viewers. "Fashion Star" at 10 enjoyed a 20 percent gain in the demo from last week, receiving a 1.8/5. It averaged 4.6 million total viewers.

Fox shared first place in the demo, averaging 2.5/7, but took fourth place in total viewers with 5.6 million. Boosts for "The New Girl" and "Raising Hope" helped it tie NBC in the top ratings. "Glee" at 8 was down 10 percent in the demo from its last original airing in February with a 2.7/8 and 6.7 million total viewers, while "New Girl" at 9 jumped 17 percent in the demo for a 2.7/7, and 5.3 million total viewers. "Raising Hope" at 9:30 was also up, climbing 19 percent from last week's 8 p.m. airing for a 1.9/5 in the demo. It had 4 million total viewers.
CBS came in third in the demo, averaging a 2.4/7, and grabbed the night's highest total average viewership with 13.2 million. Declines across the board and a couple of series lows marred the network's night. "NCIS" at 8 was down 11 percent from its last original airing two weeks ago with a 3.1/9 in the demo and 17.3 million total viewers. Despite the decline, it had the most total viewers of the night. "NCIS: LA" the following hour dropped 23 percent from its last original two weeks ago, hitting a series low in the demo with a 2.3/6 and 12.8 million total viewers. "Unforgettable" also hit a series low, dropping 14 percent from its last original two weeks ago for a 1.8/5 and 9.5 million total viewers.
ABC took fourth place in the demo and second in total viewers with an average 1.9/5 and 9.7 million. Like CBS, it suffered declines for all its shows. "Last Man Standing" at 8 dropped 11 percent from its last original three weeks ago, hitting a series low of 1.7/5 in the demo with 6.7 million total viewers. "Cougar Town" at 8:30 inched down to a 1.5/4 with 5 million total viewers. "Dancing With the Stars" at 9 dropped 18 percent from last week, posting its lowest numbers in the demo for a results show with a 2.3/6 and 13 million total viewers. "Body of Proof" at 10 saw a slight decline, drawing a 1.9/5 in the demo and 10.2 million total viewers.
