Ratings: ‘The Voice,’ ‘Mindy Project’ Rise; ‘Private Practice’ Hits a Bump

"NCIS" grabs night's biggest audience, "Private Practice" drops to a series low

NBC's "The Voice" and Fox's "The Mindy Project" grew Tuesday night, while ABC's "Private Practice" dropped to a series low as it winds its way to a series finale, according to preliminary numbers.

NBC drew first place in the advertiser-friendly 18-49 demographic with a 2.6 rating/7 share and second in total viewers with 7 million. The ratings victory was due largely to "The Voice" at 8 p.m., which jumped 27 percent from last Thursday's episode (NBC, like the other networks, ran election coverage last Tuesday).

"The Voice" was the night's top-rated program with a 3.8/11, and drew 11 million total viewers.
