Ratings: ‘The Voice’ Sends ‘Combat Hospital’ to Sick Bay

“America’s Got Talent” gets top total viewership for the night; “Wipeout” takes a tumble

Despite competition of new series "101 Ways to Leave a Game Show" and "Combat Hospital," NBC's hit singing competition continued its dominance on Tuesday night.

The reliable ratings-topper at 9 p.m., while down 7 percent from last week, received a 4.3 rating/12 share in the adults 18-49 demographic and 11.8 million total viewers. The network's "America's Got Talent," meanwhile, took the evening's top total viewership the preceding hour, grabbing up 12 million total viewers, along with a 3.2/11 in the demo (which were the evening's second-highest ratings).

On ABC, the summer premiere of "Wipeout" at 8 took a tumble compared to last summer's premiere, slipping 45 percent in the adults 18-49 demo with a 1.7/6 and 5.3 million total viewers. The series premiere of reality competition "101 Ways to Leave a Game Show" the following hour drew a 1.9/5 in the demo and 5.5 million total viewers.

The evening closed out with the series premiere of drama "Combat Hospital" at 10, which received a 1.2/3 in the demo and 5.2 million total viewers.

Fox's "MasterChef" at 8, which tied for first place in the ratings with Monday's episode, felt a 5 percent decline from its airing last Tuesday, drawing a 1.8/6 in the demo and 4.1 million total viewers. Back-to-back repeats of "Raising Hope" closed out the network's evening.
