NBA Playoff ratings just keep going up and up, and TNT caught a very good bounce with its coverage of the NBA's Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Wednesday night.
The cable outlet's airing of the Miami Heat/Chicago Bulls face-off beat out not only beat all other cable television offerings, but bested the primetime average of ABC, NBC and CBS, TNT announced on Thursday.
(Only Fox, with the seemingly unstoppable "American Idol," fared better.) All told, the game averaged 10 million viewers, taking a 6.1 household rating.
The numbers, while impressive, don't quite match TNT's numbers from Sunday's Game 1 of the conference finals, which became the most-viewed game in cable history with an average 11.1 million viewers and a 6.2 household rating. Even so, the Bulls are probably wishing that they had performed so well last night.
