TOUCHDOWN Based on preliminary numbers, Fox posted a 1.9 rating/6 share from 8-11 p.m., but fast national ratings are generally low for live sports events. The Patriots won the game.
RUNNER UP CBS' hidden camera house guest show "Big Brother" was the night's top program averaging 2.4/9 from 8-9 p.m. Overall, CBS averaged 1.7/5 from 8-11 p.m. CBS was Thursday's third-place primetime network behind Fox and Spanish-language broadcaster Univision. Univision scored a 1.8/6 for the night.
STUCK ON THE BENCH ABC was in fourth place Thursday with a 1.5/5 behind a repeat of the game show "Wipeout," a new episode of "Rookie Blue" and the premiere of the ABC News special "Secrets of the Mind: Why We Do What We Do." NBC finished in last place with re-runs of "Community," "30 Rock," "The Office," "Parks & Recreation" and "Law & Order: SVU."
