Three different reality shows were nearly tied at the top of Tuesday night's primetime ratings charts — Fox's cooking competition "Hell's Kitchen" and the NBC stalwart "America's Got Talent" both scored a 2.9 rating/9 share in the key adults 18-49 demographic and the ABC obstacle course show "Wipeout" got a 2.9/10.
Fox emerged from the pack with Tuesday night's highest numbers for the fourth straight week.
STRONG APPETITE Fox averaged 2.9/9 from 8-10 p.m. with two hours of "Hell's Kitchen." Gordon Ramsay's cooking show and last week's All-Star game have combined to give Fox four straight Tuesday wins.
LOSING IT NBC ended the night in second place with a 2.3/7 score. "America's Got Talent" matched "Hell's Kitchen's" 2.9/9 average from 9-11 p.m., but the Peacock's numbers dropped thanks to "Losing It With Jillian," which dragged down the score with a 1.1/4 from 8-9 p.m. "Jillian" was down 21 percent from last week and tied for its lowest rated new episode ever.
TIED UP ABC and Spanish-language broadcaster Univision tied for third place with 1.7/5 averages from 8-11 p.m. "Wipeout" scored for ABC in the first hour of primetime, but the game show "Downfall" and "ABC News Primetime: Family Secrets" combined for a dismal 1.0/3 average from 9-11 p.m. Univision's lineup included the novelas "Hasta El Dinero Nos Separe" ("Until Money Do Us Part") and "Soy Tu Duena" ("I'm Your Boss Lady") and the news program "Aqui y Ahora" ("Here and Now").
FIFTH PLACE CBS finished last with a 1.2/4 average behind repeats of "NCIS," "NCIS: Los Angeles" and "The Good Wife."
