NBC has had a pretty rough time in the ratings race so far this summer, but "America's Got Talent" continues to bring in viewers for the network.
Fast national numbers are in, and NBC won Wednesday night with a new episode of the reality talent competition.
OLYMPIAN EFFORT A re-run of "America's Got Talent" averaged a 1.7 rating/6 share in the key adults 18-49 demographic, earning second place for the hour. The new episode of the show that aired at 9 p.m. was the night's top show with a 3.4-11. "Talent" was NBC's top-rated non-Olympic program in the time slot since September 2009.
DANCE FEVER Fox scored second place on Wednesday night and prevented NBC from winning all six half-hour primetime time slots with "So You Think You Can Dance." The two-hour performance show with SYTYCD's top nine contestants averaged a 2.2/7 from 8-10 p.m. and won the first hour of primetime.
NUMERO TRES Spanish-language broadcaster Univision was Wednesday's number three network. Univision beat out repeats on ABC and CBS with the novelas "Hasta Que El Dinero Nos Separe" and "Soy Tu Duena," and "Don Francisco Presents." Univision averaged 1.7/6 for the night compared to 1.2/4 for CBS and 0.9/3 for ABC.
