CBS edged a down NBC to finish first in the advertiser-sought 18-49 demographic; America’s most-watched network also topped total viewers on Tuesday.
NBC’s entire lineup dropped by double-digits week-over-week, netting in a 23 percent slide. That said, the lower-rated “Night Shift” took “Chicago Fire’s” normal slot last night, and the network had two premieres during the prior Tuesday’s primetime.
Sixth-place CW had a dramatic fall from last week, when the network rose to second in the key demo. Also of note, fifth-place Fox’s “The Mindy Project” hit a new low.
CBS was first in ratings with a 1.8 rating/6 share in the demo and in total viewers with an average of 13.2 million, according to preliminary numbers. “NCIS” at 8 p.m. posted a 2.2/7 and night-best 16 million viewers. “NCIS: New Orleans” at 9 had a 1.9/6 and 14.3 million viewers. “Person of Interest” at 10 got a 1.5/5 and 9.2 million viewers.
NBC was second in ratings with a 1.7/6 and in viewers with 6.6 million. “The Voice” at 8 received a 2.7/9 and 11.2 million viewers. “Undateable” at 9 posted a 1.5/5 — down 21 percent from last week — and 5.2 million viewers. “One Big Happy” at 9:30 decreased 25 percent from its premiere to a 1.2/4 and had 3.9 million viewers. A special “Night Shift” at 10 got a 1.0/3 and 4.1 million viewers.
ABC was third in ratings with a 1.2/4 and in viewers with 4.3 million. “Fresh Off the Boat” at 8 had a 1.4/5 and 4.9 million viewers. “Repeat After Me” at 8:30 got a 1.0/3 and 3.6 million viewers. “Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD” at 9 received a 1.5/5 and 4.2 million viewers. “Forever” at 10 posted a 0.9/3 and 4.4 million viewers.
Univision was fourth in ratings with a 1.1/4 and in viewers with 2.84 million.
Fox was fifth in ratings with a 1.0/3 and in viewers with 2.78 million. “Hell’s Kitchen” at 8 had a 1.3/4 and 3.7 million viewers. Following a rerun, “The Mindy Project” season finale at 9:30 got a 0.8/3 and 2.1 million viewers.
The CW was sixth in ratings with a 0.9/3 and in viewers with 2.6 million. “The Flash” at 8 received a 1.1/4 and 3.2 million viewers. At 9, “iZombie” had a 0.7/2 and 2.1 million viewers.
Telemundo was seventh in ratings with a 0.7/2 and in viewers with 1.7 million.
